It All Began on the Shores of Cape Henry
Our mission was first established on April 26, 2003, when God summoned us to Cape Henry at Fort Story, Virginia. There He first spoke to us about revival for the nation and covenant renewal. The first English settlers had made a covenant with God on this site. It was here that they promised God to spread the Gospel throughout their new land and beyond.
We were not prepared to hear and understand all that He began to tell us. Over a period of time His meaning and purposes became clearer. Many of you will no doubt discover that God has been speaking to you in similar ways. That is why we need your help. We are seeking intercessors who will pray for this nation based on the wisdom and plan of God and not on human understanding. Our understanding is incomplete. Nevertheless, we must act on what God has shown us. (For further background you may wish to read America's Spiritual Foundation.)
God Called Us Before Him to Confess Our National Sins
On August 19, 2006, God directed us to pray at the Emancipation Oak on the grounds of Hampton University. There He asked us to repent for our sins and for the corporate sins of our nation. We were aware of some of the sins He wished us to address. He gave us a greater awareness of other significant sins which we needed to acknowledge while we interceded for the nation. For more on the specifics of what we prayed and experienced press here.
We have discovered that prayer is our weapon for revival. Directed prayer from God is a better weapon. Our trust is that you are listening to God and praying those things He has placed on your heart. Join with other intercessors as we cry out to God for our nation.
"If My people who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins ans will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
